14 coaches of Dahanu-bound train derail

Fourteen coaches of Dahanu-bound shuttle train derailed on Friday morning between Palghar and Umroli on the Virar-Dahanu Road section, Western Railway sources said in Mumbai.

The mishap disrupted the traffic, with three long-distance trains being cancelled and others diverted, they said.

No casualties were reported, they said, adding two persons who sustained minor injuries were given first aid.

The train, which left Bandra station at 0450 IST, did not have many passengers, they added.
