Modi declines to comment on SC order

November 21, 2003 16:14 IST

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi declined to comment on Friday's Supreme Court order staying the trial in 10 cases.

The SC has asked the state government to reply in two weeks why the cases should not be transferred outside.

"I am not aware of the Supreme Court order. The Gujarat government would reply to the court's queries after studying it (order) properly," Modi told reporters in Delhi.
