2 soldiers killed in militant ambush

An�army officer and a soldier died in a militant ambush at Natnussa in Kupwara district in north Kashmir on Saturday.

Police sources said five armymen were injured in the gun battle and were shifted to a nearby hospital.

Troops later searched the area.

A senior police officer said militants ambushed a patrol party of the Rashtriya Rifles. He identified the army officer killed as Captain R D Singh.
