20 cops killed in Jharkhand landmine blast

In a daring attack, suspected Naxalites triggered a landmine blast in Jharkhand late on Wednesday night killing 20 policemen, Inspector General of Police (Special Branch) G S Rath said in Ranchi.

Superintendent of Police Praveen Kumar, who had been missing after the blast, was traced with minor splinter injuries. Admitted to the Kiriburu Hospital, he is out of danger.

The SP was leading one of the two police patrol parties, which was attacked at Balibea, 3km from Gua in West Singhbhum district.

All the bodies were brought to Gua police station.
