J&K govt setting up homes for migrants in Budgam

As part of its rehabilitation package for migrants, the Jammu and Kashmir government is setting up a township for Pandits at Sheikhpora in Budgam district of central Kashmir. It comprises 200 flats, a temple, shopping centre, sewerage treatment plant and other basic facilities. It will cost about Rs 20 crore. | Also Read | | |
| Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, who inspected the project on Monday, directed Jammu and Kashmir Construction Corporation, the executing agency, to expedite work on the project.The chief minister also directed the concerned authorities to take effective steps right now for construction of a better approach road to the township besides landscaping of the area in and around the colony.
