Mayawati meets Sonia over dinner

Keeping alive the possibility of a tie-up in the coming Lok Sabha polls, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati had an over two-hour-long dinner meeting with Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Sunday. � The two are believed to have discussed strategies to be adopted in Uttar Pradesh and at the national level.
"The Congress president had invited Mayawatiji for�dinner. The BSP chief, who had hosted a dinner for Gandhi recently, reciprocated and came for the same," a senior Congress leader said on Monday.
Talks are on between top leaders of the two parties for a tie-up, he said.
The BSP chief, who has been speaking in different languages on the possibility of an alliance with the Congress, entered Gandhi's 10 Janpath residence from the rear gate. �
