Huge cache of RDX recovered in Anantnag

In a major haul, the army on Thursday recovered 348 kg of RDX from Goas forest in Anantnag district of Jammu�& Kashmir, a defence spokesman said in Srinagar.
Acting on specific information, the jawans raided the forest near Ashmuqam, 70 km from�Srinagar, and recovered the explosives, the spokesman said.
Meanwhile, police seized over 16 kg of gunpowder and arrested four persons in this connection from Baramulla district last evening.
The policemen intercepted a vehicle at Chainkipora-Sopore, 70 km from Srinagar, and recovered 16.2 kg of the explosive.
The vehicle's owner, driver, helper and another person�were arrested, police sources said.
