Omar Abdullah escapes militant attack

National Conference president Omar Abdullah on Friday night escaped unhurt when militants fired at his motorcade on the Jammu-Srinagar highway, his media adviser D S Rana said.

Rana, who was accompanying Abdullah, said none was hurt in the militant attack.

He said the motorcade was on way to Jammu from Srinagar.
