Actor Sanjay Dutt [Images] is reportedly doing a rethink on endorsing Goa [Images] Gutka and plans to consult his lawyers on the matter.
According to a report appearing in the February 14 morning edition of Mumbai tabloid Mid Day, Dutt said he wanted to be on the 'side of the law'.
Goa Gutka owner Jagdish Joshi is involved in a case linking him with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim [Images].
"If these guys are on the run, I will not go ahead with anything that is wrong," Dutt was quoted as saying.
The Mumbai police is waiting for J M Joshi and Rasiklal Dhariwal, proprietors of Goa and Manikchand gutka respectively, to return to the country so that they can be questioned about their links with Dawood Ibrahim and his brother Anis Ibrahim Kaskar.
The Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act court has issued non-bailable warrants against the two gutka barons.
