Kumaratunga to discuss tsunami aid with India

Sri Lankan President Chandrika Kumaratunga will begin a two-day official visit to New Delhi on Thursday, officials in Colombo said.

Kumaratunga will hold talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] and United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi [Images].

"She will discuss developments in Indo-Lanka relations," the spokesman said, without giving details of the agenda for talks.

The two sides are expected to discuss Sri lanka's [Images] controversial plan to enter into a tsunami aid-sharing deal with Tamil Tiger rebels, according to official sources.
