A United States Air Force aircraft landed at the NSC Bose International airport on Friday for the joint India-US air exercise amidst protest demonstration by Communist Party of India (Marxist).

The military aircraft which landed at the airport in Kolkata would proceed to Kalaikunda air station at West Midnapore district for the joint exercise scheduled to begin from November 7, airport sources told PTI. The sources however refused to divulge the type of the military aircraft and said it is a fighter plane.

CPI activists led by party member Amitava Nandi demonstrated outside the airport in Kolkata against the joint India-US exercise.
