An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 on the Richter Scale rocked Jammu and Kashmir [Images] on Monday, the Meteorological office said.
The quake had its epicentre at latitude 34.8 degree north and longitude 73.8 degree east - close to Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, which was devastated by a magnitude 7.4 temblor on October 8.
