Andhra Pradesh Junior Doctors Association Monday extended support to Maharashtra Resident Doctors Association for its agitation against the government there.

"Callousness shown by the Maharashtra government towards the public health system was similar to the neglect shown allegedly by the Andhra Pradesh government," APJUDA president Pradeep Kumar said in a statement in Hyderabad Monday night.

"We are aware of the oppressive and selective victimisation steps initiated by the government there. APJUDA extends its complete support to the Maharashtra association. We are ready to offer any help," he added.

APJUDA is also ready to form a national platform to strive for the issues common to all the medical students and the health care system, he said.
