People Democratic Party chief patron Mufti Mohammed Sayeed has urged party leaders to restore their differences and unite efforts for the coming Assembly elections.

Talking to party leaders at his residence, Sayeed, who arrived in Jammu on Thursday evening to chair the state executive meeting of the party on Friday, expressed his dismay over the PDP's performance in the Jammu region.

The former Jammu and Kashmir [Images] chief minister told partymen that he was aware about the growing differences among them and the performance of the party leaders in the region.

"Jammu will play an important role in the coming elections. You have a great responsibility on your shoulders," he said.

Sayeed will chair the meeting of party's executive committee at the party headquarters on Friday, sources said.

The meeting is likely to be attended by party president Mehbooba Mufti and other senior party leaders and is likely to deliberate upon the reorganisation of the party structure in the region and the coming by-elections in Poonch constituency, they added.
