Dawood aide killed in Bombay

Ahmed Afzal Ghulam Shiekh Hussain, allegedly a member of the Dawood Ibrahim gang, was shot dead on Friday night at Vikhroli Parksite in north-east Bombay.

Acting on a tip-off, the Vikhroli Parksite police laid a trap for Hussain near the Vikhroli fire brigade station, where he had gone along with his accomplices for extorting money.

When Hussain was asked to surrender, he fired two rounds at the police. In retaliation, the police fired four rounds, injuring Hussain in the process. He was taken to the Rajawadi hospital in Ghatkopar in north-east Bombay where he was declared dead on admission.
