Mohan Babu may back BJP

Noted film star and Rajya Sabha member Mohan Babu, who was suspended from the ruling Telugu Desam party recently, may jump on the saffron bandwagon.

Sources close to the film star also said that he has put off his plan of floating a regional party, following an agreement reached with Bharatiya Janata Party president Lal Kishinshand Advani.

In turn, the BJP would support him in the next Andhra Pradesh assembly election, prior to which the star is expected to launch his own party.

Sources said Mohan Babu would address public meetings in the state with BJP leaders.
