7 killed as bus collides with train

At least seven people, including a woman and three children, were killed and more than 20 injured when their bus rammed into the engine of a goods train at the Jamalnagar unmanned level-crossing, about 40 km from Agra city on Saturday morning. However, a report from Agra put the number of casualties at 20.

Principle secretary (home) H C Gupta, quoting the divisional commissioner of Agra, said the ill-fated private bus was going from Agra to Jalesar town in neighbouring Etah district.

Reports received at the office of the director general of police said the mishap occurred near Chamraula railway station.
