4 killed, 9 injured as bus collides with truck

Four persons were killed and nine injured on Tuesday morning when an Asiad state transport bus collided with a speeding truck near Konegaon on the Bombay-Pune highway.

Police say both the drivers died on the spot.

The mishap occurred at about 1100 hours. The dead have been identified as S T Pawar (bus driver), Nataji Shinde (truck driver), Bombay-based chartered accountant Ganesh Bapat and a 28-year-old woman Sagi Jawala.

The injured have been admitted to the Pune government hospital.
