8 security personnel killed in Kohima

At least eight security personnel were killed and many injured when suspected National Socialist Council of Nagaland militants ambushed a convoy between Nerhema and Tiesena villages, about 14 kilometres from Kohima on Tuesday afternoon.

Official sources say the convoy of Jammu and Kashmir Rifles was patrolling the Kohima to Wokha road when it was ambushed at around 1500 hours.
