Deep Sengupta wins
Dubai Junior chess

Former World under-12 champion Deep Sengupta won the Dubai International Junior chess tournament with a quick draw against Vic Neil Villanueva of the Philippines in the ninth and final round on Friday.

Deep tallied 7.5 points out of a possible 9 and won the tournament with a half point difference from nearest rivals Omid Noorozi of Iran and Villanueva.

For his efforts the 14-year-old Indian won a glittering trophy and a cash award of $2000.
