April 28, 2003 21:34 IST
After spending three years with an English professional club, India's football captainBaichung Bhutia isnow negotiating with a top Singapore outfit for the coming season.
"I have an offer from a top premier division club in Singapore. But there are several areas which require some more negotiations," Bhutia revealed.
The nimble-footed striker saidthe contract would be finalised only after certainissues are sorted out.
Bhutia, who refused to name the outift at this stage of negotiations, saidhe is lookingfor a three-month contract with the club.
"Negotiations are on. Let's see what transpires," he said.
Bhutia, the first Indian to turn out in the English professional league when he had a three-year stint with second division club Bury F C, returned to Indian club football last year, donning the jersey of soccer giants Mohun Bagan.
However, hehad a dismal year, plagued by repeated injuries and recently admitted that he failed to serve Bagan well.
