Mohd. Sporting shocked

Kolkata Port Trust pulled off the first major upset of the ongoing Kolkata Super Division football league, upstaging formidable Mohammedan Sporting 2-1 on Thursday.

Port Trust�took the lead through Pradip Indu, while Rahim Nabi restored parity for Sporting, before Srimanta Das scored�the winner in the�Salt Lake stadium match.

The talented Indu put Port Trust ahead as early as the eighth minute. Sporting went all out for the equaliser but failed to stage a comeback till the breather.

But eight minutes into the second-half, Nabi headed home�following a free-kick, to make the scoreline 1-1.

Towards the close of the second session overlapping Port Trust right-back Srimanta Das headed into the net�an Amar Pyne flag-kick to ensure three points for the underdogs.

Sporting, who prevailed over Wari by a solitary goal in their lung-opener, now have three points from two outings.
