Randhawa tied-11th in Japan

Jyoti Randhawa submitted a bogey-free card of three-under 68 to move to a tied-11th spot after the second round in the � 200 million�Dunlop Phoenix Open, an event on the Japanese Tour at the Phoenix Country Club course in Miyazaki (Japan) on Friday.

Spain's Sergio Garcia shot a six-under 65 to take a one-stroke lead with a total of 11-under 131. The Spainard had eight birdies and a pair of bogeys at the 6,917-yard par-71 course. Thomas Bjorn and Daisuke Maruyama also fired rounds of 65 apiece to be tied for the second spot.

Randhawa, who had won an event on the Japanese Tour - the Suntory Open recently, played steady golf at the highly-testing golf course. After being tied for the 33rd place in the opening round after shooting a level-par 71, Jyoti, beginning from the tenth, made his first birdie on the par-4 15th while completing his front nine with yet another birdie.

The Asian Order of Merit winner for 2002-03 season, Jyoti added one more birdie on the par-5 seventh to share the 11th spot with three others.
