Entries are invited for the Jai Matrubhoomi Foundation National Bodybuilding Championship, to be held at the Ravindra Natya Mandir in Mumbai on February 8 at 7.30 pm.

The event, being held under the auspices of the Indian Bodybuilding Federation and Maharashtra State Bodybuilders Association, will be inaugurated by Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and deputy chief minister R R Patil.

The winner of the championship will be conferred the title 'Jai Matrubhoomi Shree 2005' and awarded a trophy and cash prize of Rs 1,00,000.

The first runner-up will get Rs 75,000 while the second runner-up be richer by Rs 50,000.

Apart from these prizes, there are attractive cash awards to be won for fourth to tenth places.

The total prize-money of Rs 400,000 that is being offered will make the event the richest bodybuilding championship held thus far.
