David Beckham [Images] has been left out of Real Madrid's [Images] squad to face Real Sociedad at home in the Primera Liga on Saturday because of a rib injury.
The England [Images] captain sustained the injury in last weekend's 1-1 draw in Barcelona although he completed the match.
Real coach Juan Ramon Lopez Caro said he did not know about Beckham's injury until after training on Tuesday.
