India's Prakash Amritraj and Rohan Bopanna advanced to the second round of the USD 25,000 Coffee Cup ATP Challenger tournament in Chikmagalur on Tuesday.

20-year-old Karan Rastogi [Images] also won his first round match, beating compatriot and wild-card entrant Kiran Nandakumar 6-3, 6-2.

Amritraj, seeded sixth dominated the match from the start and exerted pressure on Henry Adjei Darko of Ghana as he registered a 6-3, 6-2 win at the Centenary Stadium courts. Bopanna beat qualifier Kamil Capkovic of Slovakia by the same margin to set up a second round clash with Japan's [Images] Toshihide Matsui.

Navdeep Singh started his match against Aleksandar Vlaski of Serbia Montenegro on a strong note and took the first set to the tie-break but could not sustain the momentum and lost.

Vlaski cameback strongly in the second set to wrap up the encounter 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 and book a second round berth.
