Prakash Amritraj and Rohan Bopanna advanced to the semi-finals at the Chennai Open doubles tournament when Paradorn Srichaphan [Images], who was teaming with Radek Stepanek, pulled out because of a thigh injury on Friday.

The Indian pair will take on the second seeded German pair of Rainer Schuettler and Alexander Waske, who beat Lukas Dlouhy and Pavel Vizner 6-4, 6-4 in the quarter-finals.

Srichaphan had earlier in the day lost his quarter-final match to Belgium's Kristof Vliegen 6-1, 6-2.

Defending champion Carlos Moya [Images] overpowered seventh seed Bjorn Phau of Germany [Images] 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 to set-up a semi final clash with Vliegen.
