French Open doubles champions Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi survived a tight semi-final slog against Martin Damm and Leander Paes [Images] in the Masters Cup on Saturday before reaching the final with a 6-7, 7-6, 7-6 win.

The pair triumphed when Czech Damm went long after three hours 17 minutes to keep their unbeaten record at the tournament intact and set up a meeting with Bahamian Mark Knowles and Canada's [Images] Daniel Nestor.

Nestor and Knowles fought back to beat Australian Paul Hanley [Images] and Zimbabwe's Kevin Ullyett 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 in the first semi-final at the Qi Zhong stadium in Shanghai.

Swede Bjorkman, who is chasing his 50th doubles title, will share $220,000 with his Belarussian partner if they are victorious in Sunday's final as they won all three of their group matches.
