Munnar is a tiny town. Banks, photo studios are all located in the town centre, within walking distance from each other. And only a few basic amenities are available. Vehicles to take you around the countryside can be hired at the Munnar main chowk too.

Tourist office: Information Office, Old Munnar Bazar

Chemists or Drug Stores: Several in both bazars. The best one is located between Residency Hotel and the Tata Regional Office

Medical Care: Tata General Hospital offers excellent services on Rajamalai Road

Post Office: Centre of the old town

Phones: There are STD booths at the Post Office

How to get around: Autorickshaws are easily available in town. Jeeps and vehicles with four wheel drive can be hired in town.

Church Service: At Christ Church at 08.00 in Tamil and at 10.00 in Malayalam. English service too. At Xmas mass begins at 04.30 on Christmas Eve and is an interesting service to go to.
