A rhododendron tree with red blossoms at Yuksom, near the Rathong Chu gorge, in western Sikkim. These flowers are one of the delights of visiting this tiny state in spring.
Yuksom was once the capital of the kingdom. Buddhism arrived in Sikkim at Yuksom from Tibet.
