Young lamas pose in front of a chorten at the famous Tashiding gompa or monastery, situated atop an isolated hill.
Tashiding was built in 1717. Legend has it a rainbow was once spotted, that connected Kanchendzonga with this location, and therefore the divine inspiration to build the gompa.
