A handsome horse carriage is pressed into service. The procession emerges from the fort and moves majestically through the entire old quarter of Kishangarh town. It ends at the large market square, adjacent to the bus stand, where the former maharaja receives it. A formal public reception in honor of Gauri and Issarji follows. Kishangarh Gangaur is a low key celebration, compared to that of Jaipur and Udaipur. Yet it is celebrated in the aristocratic and traditional manner that was the tradition for centuries.
