Rameshji: What does Bollywood need most now?

MARD>> No film which does record-breaking business like Raja Hindustani can be bad. This may be your personal opinion, but once a film is released, it is the public verdict that is final. There have been many films on marital discord in Hindi, but no film has ever upheld the institution of marriage as brilliantly as RH did. The husband and wife separate in the film, but both refuse to give a divorce. That was the most brilliant scene in the film, and that, according to me, appealed the maximum to the sensitive Indian audience.

Komal: I think you're absolutely correct about public stars being more discreet, I pick up a movie magazine to see what movies are in the pipeline, and end up seeing all of them filled with Manisha Koirala's stories of her boyfriends! Ughhh.

Rameshji: What does Bollywood need most now? I mean in terms of concepts and themes?

I meant, which are the films worth looking out for -- and I don't really mean AB related ones!

ADIVESH>> As I said earlier, Amitabh is a great actor, but great actors don't necessarily make good directors. He should restrict himself to what he knows best.

Paarde ke peeche: To some extent it is like backing a horse. Most seasoned punters would go into the antecedents of the horse, the parents and probably even grandparents for whatever little I know about horses. Similarly films are also acquired on the basis of producers background , his past films his director and music director, their past record and the rapport that this combination enjoys with the stars that have been signed for the project.

It is hoped that the selection of subject and script will have been considered with utmost care, given the proper combination of producer director, music director, cameraman etc. Well there is only one way to make money is the success of the film at the box office which in any case does not go beyond 19-20% in a year.

Mr Sippy, where are all the Madhubalas, the Mumtazes, the Nargises of yesteryear? Why are we condemned to eternally watch the risque gyrations of the Mamtas and Urmilas of the world?

Komal.. do you think that the people who see these films and decide on their fate , have got some weird tastes. what do you think will work with the audience?

Would distributors still blindly back an Amitabh film?

RAMESH: I LOVE YOU. One personal factor: How did you get Jeetendra to see reason and marry Shobha? That was the best thing that man ever did in his life. You must be proud of Ektaa.

Although the major successes do not cross 9-10% in a year, the rest make a little money. Since stakes are much higher now, even that little money could be a reasonable sum.

Komal: Will this year's blockbuster be released anytime soon? Will it be Subhash Ghai's Pardes?

Komal, Thanks for answering my questions, but why don't you confirm that Koyla flopped? Did it do well, or did you actually like it, God forbid.

Vijay: First, thanks for the love. As far as Jeetendra is concerned, it was purely his own decision. All he did was to convey to me one evening that he had decided to marry Shobha and that he desired to complete all the formalities including the wedding within seven days time.

That's how he has always taken important decisions in his life and succeeded. As far as Ektaa is concerned, there is no doubt that all of us near and dear ones are extremely proud of her and her achievements at such a young and tender age. But let me inform you that Tushar who is a silent mover is just arrived.

Ramesh Sippysaab. Yu are an intelligent person. Why not make a thriller on today's topic i.e C R Bhansali ke kaarname or Deve Gowda ke peeche kaun etc. Let's make a practical real thriller but fictitious.

ALI>> Gupt is due for release on July 6. Its music is very good, and the pre-release reports are favourable. But it's price is too heavy, almost 2.5 crore (Rs 25 million) per major territory.
