KWR Fletcher
This slighty built, right-hander had the gift of perfect timing. He was known to be a very good player of spin in his prime, which to an extent explains his success in India.
An incident that comes to mind instantly is his 58 not out in Bombay, a superb defensive effort that saved the match for England. He toured India in 1972-73, 1976-77, 1981-82 (as captain).
