England vs South Africa

Fifth Test, Day 2

Shaun Pollock played an useful innings of 66 to help his team reach 484. He put on 52 runs for the last wicket with Makhaya Ntini.

Before this Test, Pollock had scored 2,579 runs in 73 Tests at an average of 33.93 with two centuries and 12 half-centuries. Not adequate indeed for someone credited with being an all-rounder in cricket's annals.
