Gently does it
Someone once said that Sunil Gavaskar's batting epitomised Mahatma Gandhi's principles of non-violence. He persuaded, rather than hit, the ball into the regions he had picked out -- vide this stroke, played off the toes, on the back foot, through the coverpoint region in course of his record breaking century against England in New Delhi, November 1983.
