Nudging nostalgia
While brother in law G R Vishwanath
got the kudos for stylish play, Sunny Gavaskar was no slouch when it came to delicacy of strokeplay. Thus, if GRV was
the master of the squarecut, connoisseurs rate Gavaskar
ahead of his brother in law when it comes to that most
artistic of shots, the late cut down to third man. This photo dates back to July 1979.
